Bio

Dr. Abdoulaye Diawara is a bioinformatician and PhD student at the African Centre of Excellence in Bioinformatics (ACE-B), University of Sciences, Techniques and Technologies of Bamako (USTTB), Mali. His research focuses on leveraging genetic epidemiology and Mendelian randomization to understand the genetic basis of cardiometabolic diseases and malaria in African populations. He has co-authored several publications, including a study characterizing the prevalence and risk factors of type 2 diabetes in rural Mali. Dr. Diawara is skilled in genomic data analysis and is passionate about developing robust methodologies for drug target validation in ancestrally diverse cohorts to improve health outcomes across Africa.
