Bio

Eyad gained his BSc in dentistry from British University in Egypt in 2018, moved to the UK in 2020 for his MSc in regenerative dentistry from King's College London, and then started his PhD in population genetics in 2023 at LSHTM with the prestigious funding from BBSRC UCL's LIDo program. Next to his PhD, he is a part-time research technician at Imperial College London within the BHF centre for excellence CVD research.

In-between, he has worked minimally as a GP dentist, focusing his time and energy onto his passion within life science research. He has worked in oral regeneration projects at King's, then moved to proteomics of CVD at King's as well before shifting his career again to a bioinformatics PhD. Seeking the technical and intellectual capabilities to work with genetics, he mainly works with whole-genome sequencing data across multi-ethnic populations to determine their genetic variation in health and disease.
